Members of the IEBP Community

The Iceland Eco-Business Park currently hosts 6 companies. As tenants, they are working together to develop innovative solutions and foster new connections and ideas in the green economy. The community is constantly growing and adding new members.

iFarm

iFarm is the first tenant of IEBP. They joined in 2023, and they came all the way from Japan. They started their activities in November 2023. They are growing the first Japanese strawberries in Iceland by using vertical farming. They are based in the Battery, the building in front of the main building. Ken Noda is the CEO and main contact person.

Hof Garðyrkja

Hof Garðyrkja is an Icelandic tenant of IEBP that grows microgreens. They started selling their products in 2023 and joined the community in 2024. The team is committed to expanding their vegetables farming operations and aims to produce unique and sustainable vegetables for the country year-round. Hof Garðyrkja is committed to avoiding plastic entirely, including in their packaging for soil and seeds. The founders are Finnur and Erna.

EKS Verk

EKS Verk is an Icelandic company founded by Ellert Kristofer Schram, also known as Elli, who is a partner with the IEBP. This company is transforming Iceland’s construction industry with sustainable and fast-drying concrete. His product Þurrsteypa (Dry Concrete) uses 100 litres less water per cubic meter compared to common methods, saving up to 1,000 litres per home. He chose IEBP for its sustainable goals and innovative approaches.

Steypustöðin

Steypustöðin is an Icelandic company founded in 1947. It became Iceland’s largest ready-mix concrete manufacturer. The company focuses on reducing emissions, waste, and resource use in concrete production and transportation.

Sopla Lion’s Mane Mushroom

Sopla Lion’s Mane Mushroom will be Iceland’s first scalable Lion’s Mane production system. With the higher demand for plant-based cuisine, the IEBP partnered up with Solpa to bring Lion Mane here in Iceland. It will not be a farm, instead it will be a Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). The founder is Olgierd Jankowski.
